Ceremony is all about capturing and saving countless memories from your wedding day. Here are our favorite tips for getting the most out of the app and your guests’ photos.

  • Post a few photos and/or videos to your Ceremony feed before inviting guests. Ceremony events with a handful of posts always prompt more guest posts than an empty wedding feed. A few first-post suggestions: record a quick welcome video for your guests. Post baby photos of the bride and groom. Post a few engagement and shower photos. Or just post a photo of your wedding invitation.
  • Upgrade to Ceremony Pro to customize your event code — it’s the best $5 you’ll spend on your wedding! By default, Ceremony assigns a unique, 6-digit code to each event. Upgrading to Ceremony Pro lets you customize that code to something more personal and memorable! Added bonus—upgrading also lets you download every high-resolution photo and video from your event (and every other Ceremony event you create or join, for life). It’s a pretty good deal…
  • Invite guests directly from Ceremony (just tap the Settings button in your event), or share your event code via email, text, your wedding blog, or Facebook. Many couples also include their Ceremony code on their printed invitations and information cards.
  • Remind guests to install the app and post some photos before the wedding. A simple email reminder one week before your big day is the perfect reminder. Ask your guests too early, and they’re likely to forget or put it off. Ask too late, and they’ll already be saddled up to the bar…
  • Post your Ceremony code at the wedding. We suggest a simple sign near the entrance or guest book and wedding cards on each table. Here are five beautiful—and free—table-top wedding cards.
  • Keep posting after the wedding! Give your guests a peek into your honeymoon by posting a few photos and videos each day. Some of the best Ceremony posts of all time are of a happy couple decompressing on a sandy beach!

We want to be sure you love Ceremony and walk away from your big day with a lifetime of memories. If you have any questions, or additional tips for new Ceremony users, drop us a note at hello@ceremonyapp.com or @ceremonyapp.
