The Ceremony App team is filled with shameless typophiles (|ˈtīpəˌfīl |.; lover of printed matter or typography), and wedding typomania has reached a fever pitch. A quick Pinterest search for “Hand Lettering Wedding” reveals a world of chalkboards with hand-lettered wedding day itineraries, hand-painted wedding signage and countless typography-laced details.

While you probably can’t afford to hire typography legend Jessica Hische, if you’re looking for the perfect lettering style for your wedding — be it vintage, sign-painter, 80s skateboard, classic calligraphy, roadside signage, or even street graffiti — here are 10 artists influencing the latest in letter styling.

Christopher Craig @christophercraig_

Razor-sharp, crisp lettering that’s perfect for classic or vintage weddings. Chris is an Ohio-born designer, illustrator and letterer. His tidy line work and beautiful letterforms are perfectly formed while maintaining a remarkable hand-rendered quality.

Ink Scribbler @inkscribbler

Get amazing ideas from this group of calligraphy and lettering artists from Manila called Ink Scribbler. Overall, their work is organic and feminine, frequently adding watercolor and ink illustrations to their stunning portfolio of invitation sets.

Neil Tasker @neiltasker

From delicate pen and ink linework to bold, flat-tip lettering, Tasker’s outdoorsy/retro type and illustration graces a line of hats, shirts and badges that would make amazing engagement gifts for the adventurous couple.

Casey Ligon @caseyligon

Chalkboard, paper, cutting board, or mailbox — Ligon’s masterful style beautifully adorns nearly any object. We especially love her ability to add just the right flourishes to seemingly every piece she creates. PS — hit up the shop on her website. Her prints are only $24, which means we’re ordering a handful for our office.

Jay Roeder @jayroeder

Bright 80s palettes and a cutting sense of humor brings a fresh, edgy touch to Roeder’s colorful works of art. Looking for beautiful lettering with an edge? Jay’s your man.

Marlene Silveira @marlenesilveira

Silveira’s hand-drawn letter forms are feminine and dreamy, drawing on inspiration from hand-painted signs and classic typography. Her pencil sketches are swoon-worthy, and if that wasn’t enough, the word love doesn’t begin to describe our feelings for Marlene’s side project The Seinfeld Chronicles.

Jill De Haan @jill_dehaan

From sophisticated state flower stationery to meticulous wedding signage, De Haan’s style is intricate, detailed, and botany-based. We can’t get enough of her full-age compositions — especially those made from gathered weeds. What makes Jill’s Instagram feed so special is the sense that lettering is part of her life, and travels. Her work feels less like a job and more like an extension of her personality.

Laura Hooper @lhcalligraphy

With impeccable lettering that leans toward the modern, Hooper has inspired the wedding design of thousands of couples. Her knack for hand-lettering unusual wedding objects, from oysters to chairs to pumpkins, is nothing short of incredible. You’d be hard pressed to find anyone with more refined calligraphy pen chops.

Jen Mussari @jenmussari

Bold, emotive and devilishly fun, Mussari’s subject matter ranges from high-octane to high style and we want to hang every piece she inks on our walls. If bold is your go-to adjective, check her out. Now.

Jessica Hische @jessicahische

A generation of designers, letterers and illustrators have been influenced by Hische’s beautiful and prolific works that range almost every style, for clients like Wes Anderson, Dave Eggers, The New York Times and Tiffany & Co. But most of us were introduced to Jessica by way of her personal project, Daily Drop Cap. If you look to one person for hand lettering inspiration for your wedding, this is the one.

Did we miss your favorite purveyor of hand-crafted lettering? Tweet us their letters at @ceremonyapp! Can’t. Ever. Get. Enough. Letters.
