Writing Makes You a Better Person
Benefits of writing
I like writing but I just can’t get started. That is why I committed publicly to write for 30 days on Medium.
If you are struggling it means you’re on the right track. If it doesn’t challenge you don’t push your limits and you can’t grow as a personality.
Usually our heads are full of different ideas, thoughts and memories. To clean it up simply write everything down. You’ll see how quickly it cleanses up.
Writing makes you dig deeper, if you want to make a valid point in your piece you need to find a good point in your memories, make connections with everyday things and things you have learnt along the way.
It provokes new ideas and unexpected discoveries. When I am writing I usually have one topic in mind but then another one pops out, and another, it sets your mind free. I think writing is an exercise for brain and it should be done everyday to keep that muscle growing, improving and healthy.
Writing is the key to eternity. This might sound stupid but I truly believe that writing must be one of the art forms that lasts forever, your experience, knowledge, thoughts, emotions and ideas get stuck in words you laid down for everyone else to be read so you become eternal. As you are reading this you hear my voice in your head reading these words for you, don’t you?
Gives you possibility to reach every single human on Earth. Physically it would be impossible to meet all of the people living in the world but with writing you can get your message away very quickly. Reach future generations, get your message for them. It blows my mind.
Being able to express yourself is crucial in any kind of communication and writing improves your self-expression skills so you take a step ahead the ones who are not writing.
Writing helps to establish authority. Everyone can write. Not everyone do. People who write and are read by people are perceived as leaders because they care about others, they share life experiences, they identify problems, they come up with solutions, they think, they push world forward, they provoke change.
