Security Update: Farms V1 × Community × Telegram × Why Audits are Bad

Withdrawing from V1 Farms × Sunsetting Telegram × Audits are not insurance nor replacement for DYOR

An audit's role isn’t to provide insurance for a project. The public perception of an audit is bad given that it is seen that way — a stamp of approval.

For an internal team, an audit is great to help support the team get in front of addressing issues before they become problems affecting the community.

Remember, decentralization is a responsibility. Knowing that non-technical people see an audit as confirmation that the project is “safe” is misguiding.

Audits should be seen as more than just a line item on a roadmap. We imagine audits as an ongoing business process to maintain the quality, integrity and safety in a protocol. We’ll continue to use this discipline as a headwind for protocol security and safety.

As a precaution with ALL tokens, we suggest to always DYOR (do your own research) when exploring new tokens, defi projects, NFT markets or DEXs.

Farms V1

For those who did not remove their funds from the V1 Farms, Starting September 21, you will be able to remove your funds from the “Old” V1 farms. You can do this directly from the official Toast website.
