Born Today: Dania Krupska
Dania Krupska (c.1923–2011) was in the original Broadway cast of Oklahoma! (1943) and assisted Agnes de Mille (1905–1993) in the Broadway shows Allegro (1947) and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1949) and she danced in the original stage productions of The King and I (1951) and Can-Can (1953) before choreographing shows on Broadway, including The Most Happy Fella (1956). Krupska also assisted de Mille with her ballet, Fall River Legend (1948) about the infamous ax-murderer, Lizzie Borden, with whom Krupska shares a birthplace.
Movie: Ziegfeld Follies released in 1945.
