Born Today: Lucinda Dickey

Dancer Lucinda Dickey (1960-), who is best known for her role as Kelly/Special K in the films Breakin’ and Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo (both 1984). She studied dance at Kansas State University and after graduation, moved to Los Angeles. Her first role was in the movie Grease 2 (1982) and she also was a dancer on the TV show Solid Gold, which ran from 1980–1988 and featured choreographed routines to the top music hits of the day, performed in fabulous glitter legwarmers.

Also Born Today: The “Human Boa Constrictor” Earl “Snakehips” Tucker (1906–1937), Tap Dancer Jeni LeGon (1916- 2012), and contemporary dancer/choreographer Kyle Abraham (1977-).
