The Domino that Never Fell

You could say it was the greatest game, or matchup, that never occurred; however, there appear to be so many other implications in the failure of Vegas’ King of the Court exhibition set to face Michael Jordan against Magic Johnson, and vice-versa, in a one-on-one effort at Caeser’s Palace before high-paying attendees and a pay-per-view audience. This was, of course, an opportunity for everyone to pull in some extra cash, a lot of extra cash, but there were even broader horizons that I never considered both until now and as far back as when I first heard about this [then] possible-spectacle.

Bleacher Report pulled together a great piece with much of the detail regarding this large debacle in the overall sports world. While 90%+ of this is about Jordan v. Johnson, my interest peaks more so about one paragraph. They mention the chain reaction that could have taken place here. If Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan were to face off, then the sky was the limit. This could be the beginning of an annual event, an annual pay-off, to pit the games biggest stars against one another — Kobe v. Lebron, Russ v. Steph. That would have been incredible. It still could be, but it would take quite a bit of effort and ratifications to say the least.

There’s always a chance things could go badly in such an offseason activity. See: Paul George in Vegas no less.

Han Flew So-Low

Mr. Ford appears to be in quite some trouble after flying his aircraft a little to close for comfort. Landing at an incorrect location, Ford flew over a major airline preparing for take-off. Given regulations, he’s in a bit of trouble; however, he’s no novice with quite the history and time in flight, so likely receiving a fine in the end. Had there been injuries, we’d be talking a little differently. Luckily, there were none.

A Privy Moby

Musical artist, Moby, posted on FB to have information confirming that President Trump is, indeed, a puppet with the Russian government behind the scenes. The whole detail pretty scary and something, seemingly, out of a film.

We’re Getting a Servant!

Marvel does it again with another “Where Are They now?” featuring Thor and his room-mate Darryl. The brains/muscles bit is fantastic.

Backing a Chef

This cracked me up. Bon Appétit brought an amateur in to take blind orders from legendary chef, Gordon Ramsey. They stand back to back without seeing the others instruction or work, and I’d like to say that it start off well; however, it was doomed from the literal start. Shane’s reaction to the taste of the spice… Lulz.
