That Thing On Your Backpack…

Marie Claire wrote a short little ditty about the lash tab on a backpack and its purpose for your every day toting.

Grab the Tissues

Awhile back Ellen had two teachers from Summit Academy Charter School in Brooklyn on her show to discuss their efforts and successes with 93% of their graduating class attending college. With that visit, she presented them with $25,000 for their school. Well, she had the two back on the show, and with them, they brought along the present senior class. The class was set to receive a very, very generous gift.

Enter the Courtroom

Finally, you will be able to bear direct witness to high profile crime trials. Dan Abrams, who started Court TV — now, TruTV — in 1991, is working to open doors to courtrooms via a new online network. This could be quite interesting (1) to watch but (2) more than anything to see exactly how far they’ll be allowed to go. I’m curious to know the give-and-take here from a financial perspective, as I’m assuming the law’s price tag is rather high.

Barack Le’bama

There is a petition to get Barack Obama to participate in this year’s French election, taking place in May. This isn’t entirely possible, I don’t think, but imagine if they got “enough” votes…

The Art of Listening

This is an excellent documentary entitled, “The Art of Listening”, about the intentions and efforts of musicians in creating music. This film helps to emphasize the heart of the artist and that each moment of a piece is thoughtfully crafted. It’s important to take a step back and listen to a song, looking for the genius in its melody and structure. Their is an escape available when you put yourselves in the shoes or directly into the art of another. It can be sobering to say the least.
