Hmmmph… Help

Man, y’all, Bad Lip Reading. Am I right? These guys are back at it again with the beginning of a gold rush to take place over the next four years for them.

Not the One with the Governator

Netflix, again, has released a trailer for their new reality competition series, Ultimate Beastmaster. This looks to be almost a blatant copy of Ninja Warrior, or American Ninja Warrior — depending on your location; however, there’s an element of Wipeout that I see, or feel. With Stallone producing and Terry Crews hosting, I’m in. Maybe only for the the first episode, but I’m in for now anyways.

Professor Machete

There is a martial art that exists in Haiti called, Tire Machet. It’s known globally as “Machete Fencing”, at least in the global underground. Its origin dates back to the days of Napoleon and the slave rebellion, the “Haitian Rebellion”, that took place in the country at the end of the 1700’s and into the 1800’s. The enslaved used the tool of their trade as the weapon for their cause: the machete. The art has grown into a legitimate sport throughout the country; however, a native gentleman, “Professor” Alfred Avril, took it upon himself to teach the “gift” to others, including foreigners.

Man Love

A cabby in Pittsburgh unknowingly drove his personally #1 rated QB of all-time, John Elway, around. As you’ll find, he loves the guys, though he doesn’t get pinned into loving him too much. This is a nice little testament to true fandom and a nice little break from the sometimes drudge of real life.

Faking Reality

CGI has consumed the majority of film-making these days; however, there have been those that have stuck to the roots of film — a time when CGI, or computers in general, didn’t exist. This video goes into some of those scenarios, some choosing no CGI out of respect for the process and the audience while others did it with the complete lack of any technology separate from prosthetics to animatronics.

Love Is All Around

You’re gonna make it after all.

The great Mary Tyler Moore passed away today. She was 80 and the cause of death is reported to be heart issues caused by pneumonia. To honor her, CBS will be airing an hour-long tribute tomorrow evening.
