The Reality of Being The Visiting Parents

We fly in on a Friday and leave on Tuesday. My sister-in-law, who believes the world is all roses, and lives on Cat Steven’s Peace Train, smiles and says isn’t it great you get to travel and see the kids. I want to kick her teeth in, but think bad things about her instead. Her kids live in close proximity. She hasn’t spent any time thinking about what it’s like to be limited to occasional visits.
