Space and science is expanding with unbelievable technologies. Many of us are curious about planets and different galaxies.

Today we are introducing you, founder of Uranus.

Did you know an interesting fact about Uranus ? Uranus is like a spherical ball of ice. Uranus is very cool planet. When we observe Uranus while rotating around the sun, it looks like a rolling ball. It is 7th number planet from the sun.

Our Question is who is the founder of this planet ? Founder of this planet was a composer of music. He followed his father who was working in a military band. He got interested in music and he made many more discoveries in music composition.

The name of that astronomer who discovered Uranus is Friedrich Wilhelm Herschel. He was born in German but he is British astronomer. Before the discovery of Uranus Friedrich Wilhelm Herschel was made a big telescope for observing stars and planets in 1774.

He made many observations through his telescope. He observed one star cluster that is nebulae. Making observations of this star cluster he made one note on a specific object of that star cluster.

After several weeks of observation and discussion with other astronomers, they confirmed it to be a new planet, he named that planet “ The Georgium Sidus”. Meaning of this phrase is “The Georgian planet”.

Did you know why he named it “ The Georgian planet” because in the honour of third George who was the king of England at that time.

After some of the years astronomers changed the name of “ The Georgian planet” into the Uranus.

After this Nobel discovery Friedrich Wilhelm Herschel became famous overnight. and he was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society.

This short story of Friedrich Wilhelm Herschel ends here. Thanks for reading till the end.
