Sneak Peek of the upcoming SCV NFT Crafting

TL;DR: SCV.finance is going to release a new Crafting feature that helps you dismantle SCV NFTs into resources and re-craft new SCV Gear NFTs to enhance the APY Boost effect of your existing SCV Gatcha NFTs.

Since SCV.finance was launched, we’ve always believed that continuous innovation is the key for a project to success. Gatcha is our first attempt and it was a great success. And the APY Boost farm released last week lets us see the great potential in the fusion of NFT and DeFi.

However, after the initial NFT offer, we realized that the NFT market today still lacks solid infrastructure, and our low-level NFTs need more ways to monetize. While the NFT market is our effort to provide a good enough trading infrastructure, it took us a lot of time to come up with an idea to allow low-level NFTs to upgrade, in some way, and here it is.

We can’t wait to show you a sneak peek of the next coming feature of SCV NFT: Crafting.

What is Crafting

Crafting is a mechanism that provides a whole new possibility to reassemble low-level redundant NFTs to rare ones. Below are some key highlights of the mechanism:

Dismantle Bots to Resources

To achieve this, we implement a new process that dismantles NFT into resources, we call it NFT Fragmentation. It divides an NFT into several kinds of smaller pieces as fungible tokens. Each kind of it is an ERC20 compliant token which we call Mineral, and different Mineral owns various names and rarities.

The results of dismantling each NFT are randomized, but all follow a simple rule: Rare NFTs have a higher chance to produce rare Mineral. For example, 1Common SCV NFT could be breakdown into 100 Ivory Mineral (token with the lowest rarity), while 1 Uncommon SCV NFT may be breakdown into 100 tokens with higher rarities.

Since the Minerals is an ERC20 compliant fungible token, it would also be possible to trade it with any ERC20 token, including the SCV token.

Crafting Your Gears

This function is much like a reversed process of NFT Dismantle:

Dump NFT fraction fungible tokens and SCV tokens in
The Vault burns the tokens and mints a new SCV NFT, based on the amount of each deposited token.

Through this process, SCV Bots and a new category NFTs, SCV Gears, could be mint. And it’s even possible to obtain rare SCV Bot NFTs that are never distributed in any Gatcha or Airdrops.

To ensure the fairness of the crafting result, a guaranteed condition will be set for minting each SCV NFT. For example, a Rare SCV NFT will be mint 100% percent if 100,000 Ivory and 10,000 Jade Minerals are deposited. But you can still try your luck if you don’t have enough tokens, the more deposited, the higher chance to mint successfully.

In this way, we believe the Common and Uncommon SCV NFT would be much more useful than ever. And the scarcity of SCV NFT is further ensured.

Equip Your Bots

SCV Gears are a new category of SCV NFTs. As its name, SCV Gears are designed to be equipped on SCV Bots, providing enhancements to the SCV Bot’s APY Boost ability. For example, a common SCV NFT with a full set of gears installed may have a chance to double or triple its APY Boost rate.

Besides, by installing various gears on SCV Bot, everyone would eventually be able to create his own unique SCV Bot NFT. We can’t wait to see how cool the SCV bot could become in your hands!

Why and When

The reason why we designed Crafting and those Gears with effects is, we do believe that any innovation in DeFi should eventually become a tool for everyone, instead of a privilege of big whales. The new mechanism should hopefully empower everyone in the ecosystem equally to obtain his own rare SCV Bot, and join the NFT party. With the upcoming NFT market, we believe SCV NFT Crafting will bring a whole new economic possibility for all NFT community.
