Hello, this is TONStarter, an autonomous decentralized launchpad platform for Layer 2 projects, developed by Tokamak Network. Simplified Launch, a new feature of TONStarter, will be released in April. With the Simplified Launch, the project teams can launch projects more easily and conveniently.
1. Development Background
TONStarter is a decentralized launchpad platform for Layer 2 projects. On the Launch Menu, anyone can issue tokens on TONStarter and create a token ecosystem. When the project is deployed, the project owner can receive funding in connection with TONStarter’s Starter menu, and have an advantage of being able to manage operations from My Project Menu after the funding is completed. Therefore, since the launch of the service in 2022, various projects have been launched using TONStarter.
However, despite the advantages, the launchpad platform had a problem of complexitiy. To overcome the problem, Simplified Launch has been introduced to launch the project in a simpler way.
The existing Launch menu remains under the name of Advance Mode, and the project teams can select either Simplified Launch or Advance Mode to launch the project.
2. Main features
The main features of Simplified Launch are as follows.
- Default setting
The default value will be entered in advance based on the input value that is used the most on average at the time of project launch. For example, the claim schedule that proceeds after project launch is set in advance for a total of 48 months. In addition, TON token invested by the investors can be claimed by the project team in 4 installments.
- Easier way to design token economy
Simplified Launch provides an easier way to design the token economy. Based on the answers to the four questions below, Simplified Launch provides a function which automatically calculates the token economy.
In addition, token distribution rates for various types of vaults are set as default, so users will not need to determine the distribution rate separately.
- Provision of a user guide
A user guide is provided to help explain the entire process in detail.
3. Additional improvements — UX/UI improvements
First of all, the UX/UI is designed in a question-and-answer format focusing on key points, therefore, it helps users to understand the service intuitively. In addition, we have strengthened UX/UI, so that the project can be launched smoothly by considering various situations.
For example, if the project cannot be launched within the predetermined period, the project team cannot be reimbursed for the gas fee already paid. To prevent such event, a function which gives a notification and rearranges the schedule has been included. The project teams can minimize the loss with the function throughout the project launch.
In addition, a function to check if there are sufficient gas fees before deploying the contract has been added.
