While we are mostly heads down and noses to the proverbial grindstone in preparation for our upcoming TE Commons Hatch, we couldn’t help but notice all the NFT hubub. Beeple, Christie’s, 5000 Days, $69 million — NFT WTF!?!?!
So what the heck is non-fungibility and how does it relate to the TEC? For conversation sake, let’s simplify the definition of non-fungible to unique, not interchangeable. The TE Commons is both unique & not interchangeable. Combining our Cultural Build with an innovative, open-source Technical Stack, our approach focuses on sustainable and ethical design for Token Ecosystems built by Token Engineers. We are a Commons, however. Doesn’t that necessarily include interchangeability?
Therein lies the complex wonder — we are deploying the TEC ecosystem utilizing the Commons Stack’s revolutionary library of open-source, interoperable web3 components. A Unique TEC deploying an interoperable Cultural Build template and tech stack. In that ember glow, we offer the best of both worlds. Non-fungible fungibility.

The nature of the problem is implicit. 💎 The Praise is in! Impact Hour Leaderboard
For participation, TE Commons contributors are acknowledged via a praise bot developed by the Commons Stack and then that Praise is quantified and converted into Impact Hours. Through Telegram and Discord bots and bridges, community members dish Praise to each other to recognize work.
Impact Hours will be converted into TECH tokens at launch. The exact value of Impact Hours will depend on the parameters chosen by the community and how much is collected in the Hatch 🐣, but the intention is that each hour will be worth somewhere between $10-$200.
