The volume of investments for the ICO in the first quarter of 2018 exceeded the same indicator of the fourth quarter of 2017, but did not show a significant increase — only 5%. Investors invested in usual blockchain projects for them: financial services, games industry and virtual reality. However, according to experts, trends this year will address the problems associated with the legal purity of transactions and transparency of crypto market participants, as well as the closure of inefficient cryptocurrency funds.

Vladimir Smerkis, Tokenbox and The Token Fund co-founder and managing partner, believes that this is a natural process associated with a general decline of interest in cryptocurrencies. However, quality funds will remain on the market. They have expertise, which the mass investor who wants to participate in the ICO does not have — explains the expert. In his opinion, those who counted on fast super-earnings will leave.
