In our blogpost What does Soon™ mean? we mapped out the 3 major milestones we needed to hit to get cards out and launch.
To recap — they are:
- Final sign off from our card issuer
- Final approval from our card scheme
- Our alpha cards
Today we have the exciting news that step one is done!
- Final sign off from our card issuer: ✅
What does this mean? As a reminder — the card issuer are a regulated entity that contracts with card schemes to establish and operate card programs. Without them — no cards. This is a major step for us to get our first batch of cards out, and it’s been great work from all of the team to get the agreements across the line.
In addition, it means that all the supplier contracts we need to launch our first batch of cards in Europe have been completed.
Next step is the final approval from our card scheme — which we’re feeling optimistic about. You’ll be the first to know once that’s signed and completed.
