Asuene and SMBC launch consulting services related to CO2 emissions data sharing and sustainability
ASUENE and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation have begun linking CO2 emissions data between the CO2 emissions visualization cloud service “ASUENE” and “Sustana,” as well as providing consulting and advisory services related to sustainability.
The two companies signed a strategic capital and business alliance agreement in June 2024 with the aim of promoting decarbonization and sustainability management for companies in Japan and globally, and this initiative is part of those activities.
About data integration
ASUENE’s cloud service for visualizing, reducing, and reporting CO2 emissions, “ASUENE,” has the №1* track record of adoption among CO2 visualization services in Japan, and has been adopted by more than 9,000 companies.
“ASUENE” and “Sustana” provided by Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation have begun mutual sharing of CO2 emission data. This collaboration will enable companies to easily obtain and analyze emission data throughout their supply chains, making the collection and calculation of primary data in Scope 3 even more efficient. Not only will buyer companies be able to improve the sophistication of their Scope 3 calculations, but it will also make it easier for supplier companies that are required to disclose their CO2 emissions to report data, making it possible to promote the visualization and reduction of CO2 emissions throughout the supply chain.
About the sustainability consulting and advisory services
Companies are being asked to take on environmental initiatives and disclose information to stakeholders in order to realize increasingly sophisticated and complex sustainability management. To further support these corporate efforts, ASUENE will begin providing custom-made sustainability consulting services to users of the “Sustana” service as a partner. In addition to supporting Scope 3 emissions calculations, ASUENE will support a wide range of disclosure items, such as reduction targets and roadmap formulation, CFP* calculations, CDP response support, and TCFD/TNFD disclosure support, to support corporate sustainability management.
Through this data collaboration and the provision of sustainability consulting and advisory services, ASUENE aims to further promote decarbonization and sustainability management among companies in Japan and globally.
