Following one of the recent Tokyo FinTech Meetups, we published the “Bitcoin for Absolute Beginners Reading List”, which is somewhat biased towards understanding the underlying technology and protocols. Last night, Scherzade Agha, a Fulbright Scholar who started developing a deeper understanding of cryptocurrencies last year, presented an alternative, more academically-focused reading list. Given Scherzade’s interest in valuations and financial modeling, that is where the focus of this very deep reading list is. Thank you for sharing, Scherzade!

SEBA Bank AG is a licensed and supervised Swiss bank providing a seamless, secure and easy-to-use bridge between digital and traditional assets. Their research paper postulates that that a small exposure to crypto assets can enhance portfolio performance for a given level of risk as the low correlation of crypto assets with traditional asset classes allows them to act as an effective portfolio diversifier.
