Introducing the BNK Fintech Lab
BNK Financial Holding is Korea’s largest regional bank holding group, with aggregate assets in excess of USD 100bn.
BNK Fintech Lab, the accelerator program for BNK Financial Group was officially launched in late 2019, and is currently recruiting for their fourth batch. Applications are due on October 4, and could possibly be extended for exceptional candidates. The main goals of the BNK Fintech Lab are to:
- Pursue corporate social responsibility as a regional bank for promoting the local fintech industry
- Strive for innovative growth in digital financial services
- Develop working partnerships with fintech companies
As such, the BNK Fintech Lab provides the following main offerings:
- Explore service/business collaboration and revenue generating opportunities with BNK affiliates
- Move-in support for shared office space — typically up to 80% of the cost covered, however, a physical presence in Busan is not mandatory
- Linkage to the Busan blockchain regulation-free special zone for experimentation
- One-on-one mentoring and funding advisory through experienced global management and angel investor
