Konami Digital Entertainment announced that it will open up and make available the functions of its in-house developed NFT provision solution “Resella” to companies and organizations considering web3 services. The blockchain adopted will be “Avalanche,” developed by Ava Labs.

“Resella” is an NFT provision solution that pursues functions with high convenience for both service developers and users. By implementing “Resella,” you can smoothly design, issue, and sell NFTs within the service, and set up a marketplace for users to buy and sell NFTs. A key feature is that users can trade in Japanese yen without requiring specialized knowledge or procedures related to opening web3 wallets or trading cryptocurrencies.

“Resella” is not only suitable for developing new web3 services but also compatible with transitioning existing Web2 services to web3. By opening up the functions of “Resella,” Konami will promote the creation of an environment where web3-related technologies can be used with confidence in all consumer businesses, not limited to the gaming field.

Konami is designing “Resella” with the expectation that through the social implementation of web3, user experiences will expand beyond service boundaries. For example, NFTs in games could be used as event tickets or shop service vouchers, or event ticket NFTs could be used as characters in games. Konami will also advance initiatives to consider and realize new experiences for fans through alliances between companies.

“Resella” plans to change from its current proprietary blockchain to utilize the “Avalanche Subnet” provided by Ava Labs. By adopting an enterprise blockchain used in global finance and gaming industries, “Resella” aims to be a service that can be safely used by a wider range of users.

Details about the functions of “Resella,” the interoperability of NFTs between multiple services, and the collaboration with Ava Labs will be announced on July 5 at “IVS Crypto 2024 KYOTO.”
