Mizuho Bank has newly connected its smartphone code payment service, J-Coin Pay, to The Bank of Yokohama. As a result, Yokohama Bank account holders can now make payments at approximately 1.5 million J-Coin Pay merchants nationwide. Furthermore, registering a Yokohama Bank account with J-Coin Pay enables free person-to-person money transfers.

Mizuho Bank will continue to provide “safe and secure” cashless payment services that can be used “anytime, anywhere”, “by anyone”, and “with anyone.” Mizuho Bank will also strive to further enhance their services and functions to improve customer convenience.

About J-Coin Pay

J-Coin Pay is a service that allows users to complete various financial transactions, such as “sending”, “receiving”, and “paying” money on their smartphones. The app enables users to deposit and withdraw funds from their bank accounts (“charge/withdraw to/from the app” function) “anytime, anywhere, for free.” J-Coin Pay will continue expanding its network of participating financial institutions.

About Connecting Bank Accounts

Customers with deposit accounts at participating financial institutions can connect their accounts to J-Coin Pay by downloading the app, selecting their desired financial institution, entering the necessary information such as their account number, and verifying their identity.
