SMBC Consumer Finance (SMBCCF), which provides loan products under the brand name “Promise,” and Linkbal, which operates the matching app “CoupLink,” have entered into business alliance to begin loan sales starting July 1, 2024. For this purpose, SMBCCF will utilize AI provided by MiDATA, an AI service development company, to automatically improve the placement of in-site advertisements. Utilizing MiDATA’s AI technology, knowledge, and Linkbal’s user data, the AI has been developed to improve efficiency in this initiative.

SMBCCF will promote Promise services on “CoupLink,” a matching app provided by Linkbal. Customers who sign their first contract with Promise through CoupLink will receive a free 3-month CoupLink premium membership (9,800 yen).

SMBCCF will also verify the effectiveness of advertisements placed on “CoupLink.” “CoupLink” has a user database of over 1.5 million users, and by proposing products to these users, SMBCCF expects to discover new needs and provide value to users.
