Visual Voice, which has a network of over 100,000 creators around the world through the International Short Film Festival, the Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia (SSFF & ASIA), Amazon Web Services Japan, Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting, and ConsenSys have launched “LIFE LOG BOX”, a digital asset management service that aims to help creators maximize the value of their content.

In the Web3 era, everybody is a creator by using their smartphone, social media and movie platform. LIFE LOG BOX will enable creators to store their contents permanently, ensuring files are not lost in the event of an emergency. The Portfolio function will create matching opportunities between creators and contents and worldwide businesses. Using blockchain technology, this service will allow creators a return to profits by converting content to NFT, authenticating and clarifying ownership.

After the beta version of the service was launched in April, more than 40 filmmakers including Shinichiro Ueda (“One Cut of the Dead”) and Kristof Deak, who won the Oscar in 2017, have already registered their portfolio and about 150 users have registered their accounts.

LIFE LOG BOX provides three components of the service:

  • Data Asset Management: securely store content in a persistent data storage, using IPFS technology
  • Portfolio: easily create a portfolio by selecting content from storage;
    users or companies who see the portfolio may contact the creator to purchase content or offer new projects
  • NFT Global Cinema Marketplace: simply offer content on the marketplace to generate primary revenue through sales; further royalty payments can be generated when content gets re-sold; the distribution of viewing rights, etc. is also feasible, offering new opportunities for revenue generation
