Tolar HashNET testnet officially launched
April 23, 2019, Slovenia - Noordung Forum: Building European Blockchain Infrastructure
During the Forum organized by Noordung Hub and Tolar HashNET in cooperation with Ministry of economic development and technology of the Republic of Slovenia, Noordung center and partner organizations, Tolar has launched its testnet. Now, all interested parties will be able to test our technology and give their inputs.
The event hosted high level representatives: Violeta Bulc, Commissioner for Transport of the European Commission, Zoran Poznič, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia, Ivo Vajgl, Member of European Parliament, Maria Ceccarelli, director of UNECE/CEFACT, Nena Dokuzov, Member of European Blockchain Partnership and Alice Chang, Director of the Office of Science and Technology, Executive Yuan, Taiwan.
Nena Dokuzov, member of European Blockchain Partnership pointed out that Hi-tech Forum entirelly fulfilled its intention — to present the solutions for the development of European blockchain infrastructure and Tolar HashNET platform can represent an excellent use case, as the solution for European and national blockchain infrastructures. The importance of Blockchain Technology was also highlighted by Violeta Bulc, European Commissioner for Transport, as it is a disruptive technology, that leads to social transformation. Europe has through Horizon 2020 already invested 141 million eur to find the solutions on blockchain in digital identity, e-health and energy. The contribution will rise by 2020 to 300 million eur.
Tadej Slapnik, Tolar HashNET Director, emphasized that Tolar is a revolutionary third generation blockchain, which presents sustainable, scalable, high-speed distributed ledger technology. This is the reason that United Nations Economic Commission for Europe listed Tolar HashNET in its Whitepaper »Blockchain and Trade facilitation« as one of 15 global blockchain projects, utilizing Blockchain Technology for achivement Sustainable development Goals. The launch of Tolar HashNET testnet was executed by Dražen Kapusta, Principal and Founder, Josip Maričevič, CTO, and Zoran Dordevic, CEO.
Starting from April 23, Tolar testnet is available on Tolar website to global community of developers to test its functionality, comment or suggest its future improvement and to prepare to start using MainNet version at the end of June 2019. All neccessary additional information will be provided at Tolar Telegram Channel.

At the conclusion of Noordun Forum, Nena Dokuzov said: member states within European Blockchain Partnership will define the content of European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI) and create a cross-border partnership — consortium, for development of EBSI to be financed by Connecting European Facility instrument and invited public and private stakeholders from EU Member States to actively engage in building the future European blockchain infrastructure.
