TOMO product update May, 11th, 2018

Dear TOMO community,

I am delighted to announce some updates on the product front to our community:

The updated landing page:

1. Featuring the majority of Tomochain’s team members. We made some major additions to our engineering team in the last 2 months including Tu Nguyen, now taking over the role of Blockchain Lead Engineer; Dr. Tang and Dr. Cam joining as Blockchain Researchers focusing on major research areas such as Masternode scalability, Consensus algorithm, Formal smart-contract verification. They will join Son and me as the core task force on Tomochain’s technology, research and product development. Additionally, we added four new fullstack, and smart contract engineers working on key applications such as block explorer, governance d-app, wallet and operation for Tomochain. Together with our current mobile engineers, designers and product managers, we currently have 15 people working full-time at Tomochain relating to product development, and with the full-team of over twenty people. The rebrand of Tomoapp to ReplyBlock, and the relaunch of the product:

The rebrand is done in consideration that ReplyBlock is an independent d-app running on top of Tomochain. ReplyBlock will now bravely chart its own course into the future, led by Tung Hoang, who is one of Tomochain’s original co-founder. ReplyBlock still has a close relationship with Tomochain, and being under development by Tomochain company. It is likely that ReplyBlock will develop its own token in the future, however these tokens will be airdropped to $Tomo coin holders at one-to-one ratio. Doing that, ReplyBlock’s platform can inherit the Tomo community as the original supporters, and at the same time, Tomo coin holders can entertain the full benefit, and utilities from ReplyBlock’s successes in the future.

ReplyBlock will publish its roadmap, and continuously update the product in the next several months. Hopefully, Tomo community can give the whole hearted support to ReplyBlock by being users, and giving feedbacks to the development team. Tomochain

We will update the Tomochain product roadmap, and publish the technical paper likely in late May/ early June. The first draft of the technical paper on Proof of Stake Masternode is almost finished, and will be circulated to our technical advisors, and partners for comments this month, and subsequently published to the community. The engineering team is still on track to outperform the current product roadmap.
