Using Your Ledger Wallet with TomoChain’s Testnet

This guide will walk you through how to use TomoWallet to send testnet TOMO to your Ledger wallet and then how to send some testnet TOMO from your Ledger wallet back to your TomoWallet. Please make sure your Ledger device is updated to the newest firmware and you reinstalled the latest ETH app in order for this guide to work!

Step 1: Connecting Your Ledger With MyEtherWallet

Go to https://www.myetherwallet.com. Use the drop down tab on the far right of the web page and change the network to ‘TOMO’.

Connect your Ledger wallet to your computer and unlock your wallet.

After unlocking your wallet, you should be able to see your public address.

Step 2: Using TomoWallet to Send 10 Testnet TOMO To Your Ledger

Go to https://wallet.testnet.tomochain.com/ to create a TomoWallet and click “Earn TOMO to test” to receive 15 testnet tokens.

On the transfer tab, enter in the public address that you got from connecting your Ledger wallet with MyEtherWallet in step 1, and click Send!

The words below should now appear. Clicking “here” will take you to your transaction on TomoScan!

Please feel free to be amazed at how fast your transaction was!

Going back to MyEtherWallet, your account balance should now show 10 TOMO!

Step 3: Using MyEtherWallet to Send 5 Testnet TOMO From Your Ledger Back to Your TomoWallet

Fill out the “To Address” with your TomoWallet public address, put 5 for “Amount to Send”, and click “Generate Transaction”. Now approve the transaction on your Ledger wallet.

Once you approve the transaction, click “Send Transaction” and then click “Yes, I am Sure! Make Transaction” when a popup appears.

Once you have made the transaction, feel free to click “Verify Transaction” and once again be amazed by the transaction speed! Clicking “Verify Transaction” should take you to a TomoScan page with details about the transaction you just made.

The testnet TOMO should now appear in your TomoWallet. You can also click on any transaction and you will be taken to a TomoScan page with information about the transaction.
