At Tomo, we’re putting our best efforts into enabling users to participate in the Bitcoin ecosystem. To this end, we are launching the multi-chain Tomo Wallet extension for the Google Chrome web browser and integrating it with the Babylon Testnet.

We will provide sBTC faucet tokens to our early wallet users to stake them on Babylon. Our partnership with Babylon will empower Tomo users to generate additional yield from their idle BTC assets in a safe way.

How To Participate In The Babylon Testnet?

The Tomo Wallet now supports the Babylon Testnet and you can stake your sBTC on Babylon using our wallet extension.

To receive sBTC faucet tokens, you’ve to complete the following 4 simple steps:

Once you complete the steps mentioned above, you’ll receive 0.0007 sBTC in your wallets. The campaign will continue until the Signet BTC pool gets distributed among all the participating users.

Users can stake their sBTC on the Babylon Testnet by choosing the Bitcoin Signet network on Tomo Wallet and proceed to the Staking Portal. The Babylon Bitcoin Staking Testnet-4 will go live on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 6:30 AM UTC.

Our Tomo Wallet promises to offer a seamless user experience while claiming sBTC and participating in the Babylon Testnet staking program.

Tomo Wallet: Making Bitcoin Accessible For Everyone

The Tomo Wallet offers a social login functionality so that users can easily operate a web3 wallet with their Google account. Our social login feature ensures you don’t have to navigate complicated onboarding procedures and enables quick access to the Bitcoin ecosystem.

We prioritize user security by encrypting the seed phrase and storing it in a sharded manner using Shamir’s Secret Sharing algorithm. Tomo’s advanced encryption mechanism and secure key management provide robust digital asset protection for our users.

Tomo Wallet supports a wide range of blockchain networks including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Base, Linea, Optimism, Arbitrum, BNB Smart Chain, Solana, and Cosmos. With easy integration options, the wallet becomes a versatile tool for all our users’ digital asset management requirements.

The Tomo Wallet is now available as an Android and iOS app as well as a Google Chrome browser extension. Thus, users can conveniently access their assets anytime and from anywhere.

The multi-chain Tomo Wallet’s collaboration with Babylon offers a bridge where Proof-of-Stake (PoS) chains will secure themselves with BTC’s abundant locked liquidity reserves. So, join the Babylon Testnet BTC Staking Campaign and get started.

About Babylon:

Babylon is a web3 protocol that aims to secure the decentralized economy with Bitcoin’s liquidity. The protocol enables BTC holders to generate additional yields by locking their assets in a self-custodial manner without third parties or bridges. Babylon helps BTC users leverage their assets to validate Proof-of-Stake chains and earn yields while keeping their assets on the Bitcoin network. The Babylon platform is currently developing three security-sharing protocols: Bitcoin Staking Protocol, Bitcoin Timestamping Protocol, and Bitcoin Data Availability Protocol.
