When Vijay Kedar and I first talked about his experience managing his mother’s post-hospital care at home, it became clear that they were up against a fully broken process. The insurance system was impossible to understand, the billing process involved persistent managing, and actually getting the equipment they needed involved weeks of delays with no patient support. As it does for so many in this situation, this led to huge out-of-pocket costs, error-prone recovery, and even re-hospitalization. We were certain that patients deserved a better experience than this. I’m not one to shy away from industries that are desperately in need of a better consumer experience, so I agreed to dig deeper with him.

We were immediately motivated by the significance of the mission we confronted — we had to create a way for people to comfortably and safely heal at home. We have worked through each structural challenge along the way, and I’ve been humbled by the people we’ve been fortunate enough to serve.

We’ve supported Medicare members who desperately needed mobility equipment after forgoing risky knee surgery. We’ve aided homebound patients recovering from COVID-19 who can’t visit their doctors after hospital discharge. We’ve helped clients recovering from life-altering injuries, unsure of which products fit their needs across a wide array of options. With each new story, our motivation, team, and capability grows.

Today, I’m proud to announce the public launch of Tomorrow Health, a technology-powered home healthcare company that will change the way patients and their families manage care at home. We’ve built a platform from the ground up that integrates clinical needs, insurance coverage, and consumer-driven feedback into a seamless experience.

We’re launching today with the ability to provide patients with medical products and supplies across eight critical categories in 25 states. Building the tools and capability to do this is no small undertaking. It requires an overarching stewardship of process and accountability that leaves no link out of the chain: we are a healthcare provider, a technology platform, a logistics partner, and a concierge support team, all at once. With our team’s diverse backgrounds and deep expertise across all four of these areas, we are creating a new standard for how Americans manage care at home.

Navigating Your Insurance

Tomorrow Health’s direct connections with health insurance plans are a pivotal building block in our customer’s experience. We work with Medicare and 100+ private insurers, each with nuanced coverage guidelines. By integrating plan details upfront with every insurance partner, our catalog accurately reflects what’s covered for you. Once you input your insurance information, we can help navigate your benefits in real time, on your behalf.

Users can submit their plan details in order to access up-to-date eligibility and and benefit information

From here, we build a dynamic catalog of products and supplies. Our broad selection allows us to offer variety for crucial items like pulse oximeters and respiratory supplies, as well as long-term, recurring support for things like catheters and incontinence products. Our clients always have access to a well-trained team of Care Advocates, who guide users through the variety of options available based on their insurance coverage and clinical need. This level of engaged, on-demand support is unheard of in the industry today.

Our Commitment to Price Transparency

As anybody who’s recently tried to scrutinize a doctor’s bill can attest, the status quo in medical billing could use a lot of work. Today, you enter into every medical purchase or procedure with very little idea of what you’ll owe at the end. Your bills come back weeks or months later, sent through the ringer of the claims process, providing no ability to predict, plan, or make personal health decisions based on cost. Tomorrow Health is aiming to change that for care at home. By crunching the details of your insurance benefits, along with the healthcare services you’ve used to date, we provide an estimated upfront for total out-of-pocket costs. And, we take it one step further by providing the option to purchase products outright, with a side-by-side comparison of the cost for each.

We provide out-of-pocket estimates upfront, to give patients a clear sense of their options

If you choose to purchase through insurance, Tomorrow Health will manage the full back-end process and file the claim on your behalf. Over time, our ambition is to bring this level of visibility and patient-ownership to even more aspects of healthcare.

Direct Delivery and Personal Support

Tapping into our nationwide fulfillment network, we’re able to deliver these critical items directly to your doorstep, usually in no more than a couple of days. We’ve partnered with dozens of manufacturers and suppliers. We have over twenty distribution centers across the country, and we provide detailed tracking updates for our clients in real-time.

In addition, we coordinate with your doctor to get the right prescriptions and documents, and keep you updated with proactive messages at each step.
