Even if you have nails as hard as horse hooves, it’s important to know how to repair or rebuild a nail from scratch so you are ready when disaster strikes! On the other hand, if you are someone who is constantly struggling with your nails, learning to create and play with fake nails might dramatically change your life.
Either way, knowing how to build and repair a nail on the spot is an invaluable skill to have for any dedicated classical guitarist.
Giulia Ballare has been using fake nails exclusively for over 10 years. In her new lesson, she demonstrates the two primary methods she uses to create a fake nail (one using acrylic powder and the other using a plastic tip) as well as how to quickly fix a broken one.
