The GuitarLift made by Felix Justen is the latest guitar support product to hit the market. A chic looking, acoustic enhancing, ergonomic alternative to previous supports, almost everybody I know who has tried one has been converted!

Finding the perfect guitar support is so important, we spend so much of our lives relying on this position, so we deserve to find something that really works for us.

After all, playing guitar should be fun, not crippling!

How It Works

The GuitarLift is made of three elements: a plexiglass panel, four suction cups that attach to the back of the guitar, and a curved cushion that fits on the leg.

The suction cups can be screwed into a range of different holes on the sides of the panel, allowing the player to adapt the height of the support on the back of the guitar.

There are four sizes; large, medium, half plate and child’s plate, and if you get in contact with Felix, it is sometimes possible to order special sized and shaped plates!

Why It Works

The GuitarLift has been designed in such a way that, without changing the mechanics of the product, you can easily alter your position.

The efficient design means that you can hold the guitar closer to your body than supports that fit on the sides of the instrument, and the quality of the suction cups means that you never have to worry about losing your instrument during a concert!

It really works. The design is so simple and yet so effective, the cushion on the leg doesn’t dig in at all, you hardly notice that the support is there at all.

Is It All That?

Personally I’ve never tried a better support, and I have settled for a fair few. This is the first support that I’ve used that hasn’t given me pain or made me compromise my sitting position or my playing in a way that I didn’t want to.

The only downside of the support is limited to the moment where you need to get it off — I feel like it takes forever for me to peel the suction cups off, but maybe I am doing it wrong(!).

I would recommend this support totally, for beginners, for people who have played guitar for years, for people who have suffered injuries related to the unhandiness of holding a guitar, for anybody who wants their guitar playing to feel as simple as sitting.

Couldn’t recommend this product enough — 10 out of 10!
