What can I do with Tongue?

Tongue is an Ethereum Wallet, so you can send and receive transactions for every Tokens of the Ethereum ecosystem. You also can interact with all dApps that are compatible with Wallet Connect (Uniswap, Yearn, Curve, Cream, Synthetix…)

How to use my existing Gnosis Safe with Tongue?

When you launch Tongue for the first time, choose “Restore an existing wallet”. Then fill the address of your Gnosis Safe and the 12 words that represent an account registered as an owner of your Gnosis safe.

Does Tongue have access to my funds?

Only you can access your assets and nobody can stop you accessing them. Your funds are stored in a Gnosis Safe smart contract, the most trusted platform to manage digital assets on Ethereum.

How can Tongue guarantee no stuck transactions

Tongue uses Rockside as Relayer. They provide an auto replay mechanism to raise the gas price of a transaction to be sure to respect the validation deadline of 1 minute. In case of replay, it’s Rockside that supports the additional “Gas Price”.

How is the Gas Price determined?

Tongue uses Rockside as Relayer. They use different oracles to determine, at a given time, what is the required gas price to guarantee that a transaction will be executed in a minute. This “Gas Price” will be used to send your transactions.

How does Tongue make money?

Tongue is totally free. No additional fees. The only cost for users is the gas fees. After the launch phase, we will set up a sustainable model probably based on low commissions fees on transactions.

Which cryptocurrencies does Tongue support?

Tongue is based on Ethereum, and supports all ERC-20 tokens.

Where are private keys stored?

The private key is stored on a special chip which Apple calls the Secure Enclave which is isolated from the main processor to provide an extra layer of security.

What Dapps are supported?

Tongue works with all Dapps that support Wallet Connect.You can find a non-exhaustive list of supported Dapps here: https://walletconnect.org/apps.

Why do I get “insufficient funds” Message when I do a transaction?

This message appears when the cost of the transaction is greater than your Ether balance. You can then return Ethers to your Tongue Wallet to continue making transactions.

What happens if Tongue or Rockside Relayer is down?

You can always access your assets with Gnosis Safe UI or interact directly with the Gnosif Safe smart contract.

How can I recover my wallet if I lose my phone?

After you created your wallet, recovery information is displayed. Be sure to securely store the 12 words and the address of your smart wallet. If you missed it, these informations are available in Settings->recovery kit. If you did not save those informations, you will not be able to recover your wallet if you lose or break your phone. You can also add a Wallet Owner (see next question)

Can I use my smart wallet outside Tongue ?

Yes ! When you create your wallet with Tongue, we deploy a Gnosis Safe Wallet. This smart wallet can be controlled outside of Tongue iOS if you have access to an account registered as Owner. For example add your metamask as an owner and use it with gnosis safe web app.

  • In Tongue Wallet go to Settings -> Wallet Owners -> Add owner and this the public address of your metamask account.
  • Go to Gnosis Safe Web App, connect with your metamask, add the address of your wallet.

You can now control your wallet from your browser.

Does Tongue Support NTFs ?

Tongue does not yet display NFTs on its interfaces, but users can still view them in the Gnosis Safe web app.

Is Tongue collecting data?

We do not collect any personal data. We use services such as Google Cloud Platform or Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporter) so they may have access to information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Are you going to add functionalities to Tongue wallet?

Yes, we are awaiting feedback from users and we already have ideas such as Android version, improving onboarding, supporting collectibles, managing gas payment with ERC20 or adding push notifications.
