Welcome to the Longevity Industry
In the course of explaining to people why Tontines are the natural longevity insurance solution, we suddenly discovered that there is actually a longevity industry. Its focus is on funding projects that will extend, or benefit from extensions of, human longevity.
This led us to having amazing meetings, in particular with Dmitry Kaminskiy, the founder of think-tank Longevity International & his longevity focused VC firm Deep Knowledge Ventures. Not only is he passionate about Longevity, but he also is involved in the Crypto Economy and Blockchain. His project stands on the intersection and convergence of Cryptoeconomy, Novel Financial Strategies, Precision Medicine and Longevity.
Longevity International have produced some fascinating reports on the topic of Longevity and even predicted the evolution of financial products which they call LongevityTrusts, designed to help people cope with the financial implications of living longer. Berlin Meetup gets a little NSFW
Thanks to one of our advisors Norbert Gehrke we were invited to speak at the inaugural Berlin Fintech meetup hosted by Advanced Blockchain AG.
Joerg & Dean presented the mostly German audience with the shocking fact that even sensible Germans bought Tontines and indeed that there are 5 books on the subject of German Tontines in print or in progress.
