Waddya mean, MagSafe?

My first surprise with the new AirPods Pro 2 was before I opened the box. One word on the back popped out: MagSafe. Waddya mean, MagSafe? Apple had said this would charge by Lightning or with the Watch charger; nothing was said about MagSafe (the website does mention that now).
