States Are Rejecting the Apple-Google COVID -19 Contact Tracing API

This rejection is understandable but foolish.

A few weeks ago, Apple and Google proudly released a joint effort API (Application Programming Interface) for cell phones that would make automated contact tracing easier and ensure more privacy. The purpose was and is to help trace who comes in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
