2015 — Music helps me escape from the reality
I really love to listen to music and from time to time music helps me escape from the reality. Thanks to Spotify Year in Music I got a really nice overview of my music in 2015. In addition to countless hours on Byte FM, Hype Machine and SoundCloud, I saw two of my favourite artists Bonobo and Get Well Soon perform live, and have been to some concerts of Pervarious to take photos for them.
Here are some of my favourite songs I’ve listened to and discovered in 2015:
Caribou, Jamie XX, Occupanther, Robot Koch
Caribou made absolutely one of the best albums in 2015 for me. I also really like the first album and sound of Jamie XX. And if you like them, you might also like Robot Koch!
Tate Kobang, Kendrick Lamar, Alt J, Only Real and Wise Blood
Bank Rolls and The Art of Peer Pressure are two of my favourite Hip Hop songs for this year. Cadillac Girl and Penthouse Suites (2011) are absolutely catchy songs that I’ve listened to a lot in the summer.
Beach House, Soley, Borns and Peter and Kerry and José González
Junip and Beach House are absolutely two of my favourite bands and I really love their music. And according to Spotify, I listened to the song One Thing by Peter and Kerry 30 times in one day :-).
Get Well Soon, Borns, Corrina Repp, Patrick Watson, Allie, Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti and Portico
Get Well Soon is a band from Germany. I saw them twice live and they made a really good album this year.

Gianni Brezzo — Jordan River

Fraust — Rodi Kirk-Underwater
I heard this song the first time while trying to get my Ableton to work. Really loved it!
