Luxury online store offers discount for those who pay with Bitcoin Cash

The big cryptocurrency keepers are always looking for places to spend their cryptos without having to change for fiat currency. And Fancy.com, a store with over 250,000 luxury products, allows just that. Because the company does not pay card processing fees or fraud protection fees on cryptocurrency orders, the website will pass on that savings to the customer.

Thus, those who buy with Bitcoin (BTC) or Bitcoin Cash (BCH) can simply enter the “crypto” and will see the price reduced by 3%. Fancy CEO Joe Einhorn pointed out that “perhaps we can be part of the beginning of a long-term effort in which all e-Commerce companies adopt cryptocurrencies and share cost efficiencies with the consumer.”

Fancy began accepting payments with BTC in 2013 through the Coinbase Merchant Tools platform. However, earlier this year Coinbase suspended service in favor of its new Coinbase Commerce product, suspending custody solutions for merchants. The move provoked a difficulty with “cryptocurrency payments,” so Fancy decided to move to Bitpay. Along with this change, the store also started accepting payments at Bitcoin Cash.

The decision to accept Bitcoin Cash at Fancy goes beyond the simple change to Bitpay. But according to the CEO of the website is a response to the philosophical foundations of the BCH community. “When you read about their hope for BCH, it seems to be very similar to our hope and to others about a frictionless market and a world that empowers not just consumers but suppliers; which can carry out the transactions in the most efficient way possible. On the surface, we think there is a philosophical alignment with Bitcoin Cash”, explained Einhirn.
