In case you’re not familiar, the turf is steak, and surf is a lobster tail. Typically, the steak is a filet minion or rib-eye. However, you should always ask because some restaurants consider sirloin strips and shrimp, surf and turf. Nope, not to me.

Though, it’s enjoyable if it’s cooked right. I like both items quickly seared, separately in a frothy butter and garlic mix. Both the sirloin and the shrimp will get tough if you cook them for too long. Then, squeeze fresh lemon on the shrimp once it is plated.
