Spirit as the Energy of God

In a previous post I introduced the topic of Spirit, or the Holy Spirit which within biblical theism is understood as the Third Person of the Trinity. The analysis here is not based on biblical sources alone, but is an attempt to produce a theology or theory of the Spirit that can be supported by current science and which also draws on insights from non-biblical religions, traditions and philosophies, particularly Eastern ones.




Is consciousness produced by the physical material of the brain or is it “something more?” The issue is a major dividing line between physicalists and anti-physicalists with big implications for our culture and values.
