And then some more!

No McFred

Well, it seems that Ole reads my blog. After continuously writing rather politely about the pair, I will for the first time not be condemning him for the starting XI. After Pogba’s elite MOTM performance for France in midfield, and Sancho’s exhilarating runs for England, this line-up was a no brainer.

Our Golden Boy

What a finish! Right foot, left foot Mason Greenwood can do it all. Being mentored by two of the deadliest finishers in Ronaldo and Cavani is just the icing on the cake. That boy is gonna be the pride of the red half of Manchester for years to come.

High Press = Problem

We saw it against Villa, Everton and now against Leicester. You press high against United’s backline, you can cause them all sorts of problems. Yes, it took a wonderful curler to undo the lead, but this needs to be fixed if United are to go through their upcoming tricky run of fixtures unscathed.

Oh, my Captain!

Glaringly obvious mistake for the first goal. Play’s Söyüncü onside for the second one. Everyone had the presence of mind to move up after the first contact from the corner, but no, Maguire held his place. Just as I was writing this, he made yet another mistake by leaving Vardy unmarked. The funny thing is if you saw it live, he went to mark him, then suddenly decided ‘Nah, I’m going to leave him’. He couldn’t have had a worse return to the pitch against his former club and that speaks volumes.

Ole for the Sack?

Can the end of the 29-game unbeaten away run also be the end of the manager? Surely going into an absolute nightmare of a fixture run, you wouldn’t wanna wait till the damage is done. But then again, the Glazers don’t have the ambition to do that now, do they?
