Let me share with you all my favourite Jurgen Klopp moment — Ready? Let’s start!

Wait a minute! Can you guess which moment I am going to pick? Give yourself 10 seconds and try to guess it…

— — — — — — —

There are numerous memorable moments to state and I am going to pick a slightly unpopular moment — The Champions League win!

I know most of you will pick the Premier League title win in the 2019/20 season and understandably so — let me explain why I chose differently.

That win speaks loudly for his claim here; Not losing hope and fighting as a team when it got tough in the group stages, Smashing the Brilliant Bayern in the Round of 16, taking care of FC Porto in the quarters, one of the greatest ever comebacks to beat the Messi-inspired Barcelona and then the best of them all — putting behind last year’s disappointment by triumphing over fellow English opponents, Spurs, in the final to claim an astonishing 6th European Crown!

Simply, it can’t get better than that. We will never forget the iconic, “Corner Taken Quickly”, will we?

This win laid the fabulous foundation for the trophies the club would go on to win. The victory gave the Reds qualification for the UEFA Super Cup as well as the FIFA Club World Cup. Jurgen’s men went on to grab those two pieces of silverware and then the one that matters the most finally arrived after 30 years of patience, perseverance and real determination not to forget the extra hard work that was put in to achieve this — The Premier League Crown. In the 18/19 season, Liverpool painfully lost the title by only 1 point to their title rivals, Man City, but still, that season portrayed the true spirit of the players that have been developed by the manager, Jurgen Klopp. They didn’t dwell in the pain of losing by 1 point; they upped their intensity, put in even more effort and then grabbed the other big trophy available to them which was the European Crown. Then in the following season, they had all their eyes on the one and only thing which was that Premier League trophy, and fought for it right from the first whistle in the season. Every single team — Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, you name it — tasted defeat. Nobody escaped defeat to Liverpool in the 2019/20 Premier League season.

Klopp had made the Reds simply too good for the others, he has perfect word for his team, “Mentality Monsters” — that seems to be the perfect word for this outstanding team, No?

That UEFA Champions League win in 2019 also proved all the doubters and the haters wrong. After Liverpool lost the League Cup final and the Europa League final in the 2016/17 season and then the UEFA Champions League final in the 2017/18 season, there were haters who doubted Klopp’s winning ability. Questions were asked that he wasn’t the man for the finals, he will always bottle it in the finals, he should not be the manager blah blah. Many such eyebrows were raised. But Klopp remained unmoved because he always knew that he was taking Liverpool back to their perch; back to where they truly belong.

This win inspired the team, and the fans. It made everyone happy. Finally, the trophies, of which Liverpool had been starved off over the last decade, started to suddenly flow into the already star-studded Anfield trophy cabinet. UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, Carabao Cup, and the FA Cup- a whole set completed as Jurgen became the first Liverpool manager to win it all.

To sum up in a few words: It showed that Klopp was always the right man to lead Liverpool, is the right man, and will always be the right man to lead the club. He is humble, kind, and caring with his players and officials — loves the fans more than he loves himself. He has all the attributes as well as the qualities that are needed by a right Liverpool manager. He makes the best signings, isn’t rude, and helps the young players play according to their full potential — — What more could you ask for?

He is well on his way to becoming the next Bill Shankly….
