Week 4 of the 2019 NFL season reminded us of just how much parity there is in professional football.

After looking like world-beaters through two games, the Baltimore Ravens dropped their second in a row in a big loss to the Browns. The Packers fell to the Eagles, and the Saints beat the Cowboys. Neither of those outcomes was particularly surprising, but they were upsets nonetheless.

The Texans fell at home to the Panthers and rookie QB Kyle Allen, and the Rams surrended 55 points to the Tampa Bay Buccanneers. Even the Patriots and the Chiefs, the two teams which seemed practically untouchable, nearly took losses in Week 4.

There were certainly crazy results. Here’s how my picks ended up.

Straight Up: 8–7 (36–26–1 Season); vs. Spread: 8–7 (31–31–1 Season)

Moving on to Week 5, we once again have 15 games, and interestingly, a huge 10-game set for the early Sunday matchups. Here are my full picks for Week 5.

BYE: Dolphins, Lions

At least the Dolphins won’t lose this week. Finally, here are my top five games to watch in Week 5.

5. Chiefs (-11) vs. Colts (Sun/7:20pm)
4. 49ers (-3.5) vs. Browns (Mon/7:15pm)
3. Saints (-3) vs. Buccaneers (Sun/12pm)
2. Seahawks (-1.5) vs. Rams (Thurs/7:20pm)
1. Cowboys (-3.5) vs. Packers (Sun/7:20pm)
