Hello sports fans! Welcome back to our weekly review of the NFL. During week 4 we finally saw the fall of all the undefeated teams except for one; the Arizona Cardinals. You might be wondering, does that mean the Cardinals are the best team in the NFL? Are they going to the Super Bowl? In short, no, they’re not the best team; but they’ve definitely put themselves in a great position this early in the season to make a great playoff run. Last week we also saw the highly anticipated matchup of Tom Brady and the buccaneers vs. the Patriots. It was a rainy night with most people expecting the Buccs to make quick work of the Pats, but it turned out to be a very competitive game. The Patriots put a lot of pressure on Brady throughout the game and it seemed he just couldn’t connect on a lot of plays. You could blame it on the weather but regardless both teams gave it their all. The Buccs ended up winning putting them on top in NFC South. There were a lot of other great games as well but like always we’ll focus on the games our team at CNG made projections for.

NFL Week 4:

Jaguars vs. Bengals — 37.7% to 62.3% — Bengals win 24–21

Colts vs. Dolphins — 57.2% to 42.8% — Colts win 27–17

Browns vs. Vikings — 56.5% to 43.5% — Browns win 14–7

Chiefs vs. Eagles — 60.0% to 40.0% — Chiefs win 42–30

Packers vs. Steelers — 66.1% to 33.9% — Packers win 35–17

Buccaneers vs. Patriots — 75.0% to 25.0% — Buccaneers win 19–17

Raiders vs. Chargers — 57.3% to 42.7% — Chargers win 28–14

As you can see, we successfully predicted 6/7 games this week giving us an accuracy of 85.7%. We slightly overestimated the Raiders continuing their undefeated streak and didn’t give the chargers enough credit to pull out the win but if you’ve been following our projections each week, you would have noticed that our results have continuously been getting more accurate. We’re getting closer to achieving that elusive perfect week. Just to clarify, none of the projections we make are in anyway subjective. They are purely based on statistics and Monte-Carlo simulations so even if we think one team has the clear advantage we stick to whatever our data analytics project. With that being said, we’re very excited to be able to provide you with these kinds of results this early on.

Cardinals are the only undefeated team left in the NFL at 4–0
