Liverpool has produced some exceptional football for the last few seasons, and they are still a dangerous team to compete against this season. Here are some players that Jurgen Klopp needs to sign for next season.

Jurgen Klopp at Anfield

I reckon it is not wrong to say that Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool manager) is the man who does not buy superstars; rather, he creates them. The football world has witnessed the progress of Liverpool players under the lights of Klopp. After arriving at Merseyside, the German coach signed a three-year contract replacing Brendan Rodgers.

Klopp’s development at Liverpool is a primary reason which makes him one of the best coaches globally. His in-studio analysis, tactical emphasis, and contagious passion convinced the Liverpool football board to hire him right away.

Klopp modified his tactics to incorporate more possession-based football while also managing the signings of Alisson, Virgil Van Dijk, Naby Keta, and Fabinho ahead of the 2018–19 season, which saw Liverpool post their most incredible league start in club history.

At Liverpool, he has been a very gregarious and sociable coach, Klopp’s communication is his strength. His man-management and team-building skills are incredible. He forms a very deep and devoted connection with his players, making it significantly easier for any coach to understand the player’s productivity.

Liverpool’s team was valued at an estimated £360 million when Jurgen Klopp took over as manager at Anfield in the 2014–15 season. With the likes of Joe Allen, Alberto Moreno, Simon Mignolet, and Christian Benteke in the team, an estimated value of £360 million looks to be a fair estimate.

Klopp’s team was valued at £1.83 billion just after winning the UEFA Champions League. With only three purchases totaling more than £50 million throughout the years, the estimated value of £1.83 billion is astonishing.

This clearly indicates how Klopp help players to develop and hit some real market values. Let’s take a look at who Jurgen needs to sign this season in order to dominate European club football.

1. Max Aarons

Max Aarons might be a terrific addition for Liverpool team this season, but the main factor to remember is that the Reds currently do not have a backup right back to Trent Alexander Arnold. This season, Neco Williams is on loan, leaving TAA Liverpool is left with James Milner, a versatile midfielder capable of playing in any position.

Joe Gomez also played as a right-back for Liverpool, but when it comes to the progressive attacking quality, TAA and Robertson are the best choices far from considering any other player; Gomez has more center-back attributes that do not allow the side to provide more width and thrust.

2. Renato Sanches

One of the most underrated footballer alive, Renato Sanches, is a baller currently playing for Ligue 1 club Lille. Renato is a type of player who can easily dominate the space between the opposition midfield and defensive lines and weigh in with goals. After analyzing his gameplay at Lille, he allows the striker to play further forward and play as a dynamic wide runner.

Although Liverpool presently has great midfields like Henderson, Fabinho, Keita, and Thiago, a running link player like Renato can suit Jurgen’s four three three formation. Renato’s presence at Liverpool will be a significant boost and a considerable option if the field players get injured.

3. Alexander Isak

Does Liverpool need a striker? This is a hot question to debate. My own view is that Liverpool should sign a quality sticker with Luis Suarez’s qualities in him. One of the key reasons for this is because I’ve seen Liverpool’s lack of finishing in the six-yard box against a tenacious defense.

This is quite normal because if the opponent is defending well, it can cause issues for forwards to get in and finish. Signing Isak from Real Sociedad gives me a vibe of playing two strikers with one genuine striker and a second shadow striker, with the forwards dropping off, breaking wide, and swapping with wingers.

Having two strikers will make attacking from deep to confuse opponent markers. This means if Liverpool signs Isak, then Klopp can alter his formation from 4–3–3 to 4–4–2.

Opinion

These three additions to Liverpool’s lineup, in my opinion, can almost ensure trophies for the club’s trophy cabinet. This season, Liverpool will require a right back and a midfielder. A striker is not needed as much, but if Liverpool successfully signs a player like Isak, then premier league rivals will find it tough to compete with Klopp’s army.
