This is our 4th time doing this so I think you guys know the drill. We’re testing our quantum and classical lineup selection tool by doling out advice to you on who you should pick for the DraftKings “millionaire maker” Fantasy Football challenge:

So, let’s see what the classical and quantum algorithms recommend this week. For the classical algorithm our lineup looks like this:

Lineup generated by Classical Algo

It’s a very balanced lineup; Kelce is the only player making over 8000$. We have the usual suspects here: Power couple Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp who have been lighting up the league. The aforementioned Kelce, AKA the best TE in the league. PFF Hall of Fame pick Core Davis. And we’re banking on the Lions D doing to Fields 50% of what the Browns did to him last week (I hear he was seeing ghosts ;) ).

How about the quantum generated lineup? Ask and you shall receive:

Lineup generated by Quantum Algo

The quantum lineup is a bit more top heavy this week; but we have a nice set of players. We’re thinking this is the week ATL finally starts actually using the remarkable Kyle Pitts. We have ol’Baseball cloves for hands, Nuk (Deandre Hopkins). Did I mention Patrick Mahomes in a revenge game? He’s going to come out swinging after that loss last week, we also have his partner Cheetah (Tyreek Hill). Finally, it’s a bit early for it to be Derrick Henry time, but we like the matchup against the anemic NY Jets.

Check it later on this week to see which algo did better!!!!

Update time!! So the quantum algorithm scored 127 points this week (the highest total so far!) and the classical algorithm scored 87 points. The funny thing is we didn’t even get that lucky- the major surprise was Gainwell scoring 14 points for the quantum algorithm. Mahomes, Hill and Henry led the way and almost outscored the classical algorithm by themselves. If you read above, I was pretty skeptical about the top heavy approach the quantum algorithm took this week, but it really worked out this week. I’m excited to see how these algorithms do as we improve them!
