2021 Wrap-up and 2022 Plan of TOP Network — from TOP CEO

2021 is closing now. With the launching of the mainnet in 2021, 2022 will be a big year for TOP Network. I’m excited to share our roadmap with our community.
1. Technology Roadmap
Even Better Performance
Now TOP can process 50 times more transactions per second than Ethereum. Our performance is only next to Solana which is more centralized and requires costly hardware for nodes. Our goal is to achieve 10 times better performance by optimizing the consensus algorithm, memory usage, database, and RPC API.
Smart Contract
Implementing Smart Contract on a full-state sharding blockchain is extremely challenging. But we are almost there. A WebAssembly based VM will be completed in Q1. Developers will be able to use C++, Rust, and Lua to develop Dapps on TOP.
EVM Compatibility
Today, the majority of Dapps are on Ethereum, which are implemented in Solidity. TOP mainnet will provide a dedicated shard to run Ethereum Smart Contract without modifying a single line of code. That will happen before the end of Q2.
Cross-chain Bridge
Moving assets freely between TOP and Ethereum, BSC, and Heco are vital for the TOP ecosystem. Today, we already offer cross-chain bridges for TOP tokens. The next step is to offer cross-chain bridges for stablecoins such as USDT, USDC, DAI, BUSD, and HUSD.
2. Ecosystem Roadmap
Stablecoin
Stablecoin is one of the key elements for the ecosystem of a public blockchain. By implementing cross-chain bridges between TOP and Ethereum, BSC and HECO, TOP mainnet can issue its own stablecoins which are strictly pegged to corresponding stablecoins on Ethereum, BSC and Heco in a completely decentralized manner. This is one of our top priority goals in Q1.
DeFi
By implementing EVM compatibility, TOP will work with third-party developers to deploy Ethereum DeFi apps on TOP without modifying code. A native version of DEX will be launched before the end of Q2, which offers native TOP/USDT swap.
LuckTogether and Filet will run on TOP mainnet in Q1. Filet will offer TOP token holders to mine FIL by staking TOP into Filet. Filet is the only Filecoin staking service in the market.
GameFi
TOP Network has been investing in games for two years. We have two in-house game teams and invest in third-party game developers. We strongly have confidence that a big hit game will come to TOP Network in 2022.
NFT
We are working with a partner to bring a tokenized game item trading platform to TOP Network. Please stay tuned.
