Connection procedure
- Click Finder in the Dock.
2. After opening Finder, search for Terminal in the search box on the upper right and open the Terminal.
3. In the opened Terminal, input the command to connect to the server in the following format:
ssh -p port number username@IP address
For example:
ssh -p 8000 username@00.00.00.00
Among them:
· 8000 is the port number of the remote server.
· username is your username to log in to the remote server.
· 00.00.00.00 is the IP address of the remote server.
After input, press Enter to start the connection.
4. If you are connecting to the server for the first time, the system will ask if you want to continue the connection. Input yes and press Enter.
5. When you see the prompt in the figure below, input the password of the username and press Enter.
Note: When inputting the password, the number of password digits will not be displayed on the screen.
6. When you see a prompt similar to the following figure, it means you have successfully connected and logged in to the remote server.
