Technical Progress

1. Web3 Framework Part One: the Web3 game framework, which integrates with the TOP SDK, has completed the integration of multiple third-party payment recharge channels. Currently, the framework is integrating common mechanisms for multiple mainstream H5 games and empowering these games with Web3 technology. Since there are many H5 game merchants, it is quite challenging to abstractly integrate these H5 games into one framework and is expected to take at least one month.
2. Web3 Framework Part Two: The cross-chain universal DAO governance system built on the TOP chain, which has been deployed on the TOP and BSC chains. The ecology V project has enabled its decentralized community governance based on this basic DAO governance system. It is expected to take two weeks to extend this basic DAO governance mechanism to the Tron network.
3. Web3 Framework Part Three: the SocialFi framework based on the TOP chain, whose economic model’s basic points have been agreed upon with the project parties in the ecology. Afterwards, scheme design will be carried out for the economic system and mining mechanism, which is expected to take two weeks.
4. The TOP main network version 1.15.0 is primarily designed to address user experience problems and bugs reported by the community in recent times. It is scheduled to be released in January.

Node Election

TOP Network node election system is under the following principles:

1. Permissionless: The nodes are permissionless, meaning Permissionless means nodescan access and exit the network freely. Nodes are also free to participate regardless of the size of their stake.
2. PoS* consensus mechanism: TOP’s consensus mechanism ensures that node participation is directly proportional to their stake. More your stake, more your chances of getting selected.
3. Consensus nodes are randomly generated and rotated regularly to avoid network monopoly.
4. The more staking made the more secure consensus.

Glossary

Node

Every server in a blockchain network is a node. TOP Network has five types of nodes: edge, validator, advance, archive and exchange. In which the advance node has the roles of validator, auditor.

Consensus Mechanism

To achieve data consistency in the decentralized system, a node must be selected through some mechanism to decide which transaction should be processed at this time, and the execution result of this transaction should be broadcast to other nodes for verification or storage, so as to achieve the consistency of node data in the whole network. This node is called the “leader”, and the mechanism by which the leader is selected and the data are agreed is called the “consensus mechanism”.

Stake
In most PoS structure, the only factor that determines whether a node is eligible to join the network is the minimum deposit.

TOP expands this concept into what we call Comprehensive Stake. Comprehensive stake takes into account multiple factors to determine how likely a node is to participate in consensus.
