TOP Network: Starting the New Year with Open Source

Recently, we’ve open-sourced our Topia wallet within the community. This product, while simple and foundational, achieves a seamless user experience. Behind its simplicity lie numerous intricate details, and we take pride in serving our users with this product. The benefits of an open-source wallet are evident; it enhances code transparency and facilitates community involvement. Most importantly, it achieves better security at a relatively low cost.

Having open-sourced Topia, we plan to continue open-sourcing our other products, which are the results of our efforts over some time. Some are user-facing, accessible via browsers or other media, while others are framework-oriented non-business code outputs, less perceivable by users but equally important for developers’ secondary development.

The community has always been attentive to our development direction. We understand the community’s concerns and continuously adjust the direction of TOP’s development with care. Since TOP’s launch in 2020, the public chain ecosystem has been evolving, with Layer 2, primarily based on Ethereum, becoming mainstream and carrying the trend of TVL-based competition. The TOP team focuses on technology and excels at tackling challenging technical hurdles. We have been contemplating how to leverage this advantage and create technological barriers in suitable tracks. Besides gaming, we have already established facilities such as DEX, DAO, and cross-chain bridges on the public chain infrastructure. We are well aware that every subsequent choice and direction, with lower tolerance for resource allocation errors, should be more inclusive of collective wisdom.

✨AI was the most prominent technology in the tech world in 2023, and AI + Crypto is considered one of the most critical tracks for the bull market of 2024–2025. Even Vitalik wrote an article titled “The promise and challenges of crypto + AI applications,” discussing possible directions for AI + Crypto exploration. We will analyze the contents of this article in detail in subsequent articles, which contain many novel viewpoints.

Of course, we also have our own thoughts and layouts in the AI industry:

1. The mining team we invested in has set up a large-scale mining facility in the United States, with nearly a thousand GPUs currently in operation. Technically, they have achieved the ability to schedule computing power, providing training and inference services for LLM and generative models of speech, images, and videos.
2. The teams we invested in are deeply involved in the operation ecology of Filecoin and other chains, forming their own business circles with the ability to leverage ten times the computing resources.
3. Several of our partners have begun developing AI applications, with genuine demand for vertical computing power and models in various industries.

We have accumulated considerable resources over the past few years, and this track is bound to integrate and leverage TOP’s strengths, creating products that leverage user and market value while maintaining technical thresholds. However, in our specific path, we hope that every step we take forward will be cautious, with deep communication with the community and the market, absorbing feedback from all sides. Therefore, we will continue to study new ideas and thoughts in the market, formulate research and planning directions, and release them to the community.
