This is a step by step guide on setting up a Talisman wallet for Polkadot. 2. Create a New Wallet: Select “Create New Wallet” to begin the setup process. If you’re transferring an existing wallet, choose “Import Wallet” instead. For this tutorial we will setup a new wallet.

3. Set an account name: Assign a recognisable name to the wallet.

4. Secure Your Seed Phrase: Write down the 12-word seed phrase provided. Store it in a secure, offline location — this is crucial for recovering your wallet if needed.

Step 3: Managing Your Wallet

• View Your Portfolio: Check your balance and staking rewards directly from the wallet dashboard.
• Adjust Staking: You can increase your stake, unstake, or switch validators within the Talisman interface.
• Secure Transactions: Always verify transaction details on your screen before confirming, and never share your seed phrase or password.

Step 4: Funding Your Wallet

1. Receive DOT: Navigate to the “Receive” section of your wallet. Here, you’ll find your wallet address.

2. Transfer DOT: Use this address to transfer DOT from an exchange or another wallet. Ensure you’re using the Polkadot network to avoid losing funds.
