Sree Menon of Tophatter Speaks at The Hustle’s 2X Female Leader Event

If you haven’t heard of The Hustle, here’s the scoop. It’s “Your smart, good looking friend that sends you an email each morning with all the tech and business news you need to know for the day.”

In 2018, the Hustle is bringing together inspirational women — all experts in their fields — and giving them a platform to tell their stories… stories about pivotal moments in their journey that helped them get to where they are today.

The only rule: each speaker only has 10 minutes to tell it.

Tophatter’s Head of Strategy Sree Menon (former eBay, GE, Dell) spoke at The Hustle event in April 2018 and shared her story and advice to female leaders:

“Articulate your vision for yourself and your life. Only you know you and what you can bring to the table; don’t let anybody else define you.”

Sree knows business growth and eCommerce. She currently heads up all things strategy at Tophatter — the discovery shopping app that is on track to achieve $350 million in sales this year — up from $160 million last. Prior to Tophatter (whose staff is over 50% female), Sree was a General Manager at eBay Motors working on a large team with only 5 females. She also previously served as E-Commerce & Online Director for Dell and an Operations Manager for GE Capital. Sree can provide perspectives from working on diverse and non-diverse teams and the transition from huge companies to a scrappier startup environment.
